Industries have come and gone, manufacturing in Australia has changed dramatically, technology has evolved, the way business is done has changed, the internet came along, digitization changed systems and marketing, skilled tradespeople became rare, Australian Made became high priority for Australians again, supporting locals became cool again, but one thing has remained the same...........

✈ Alliance Airlines support local manufacturing and engineering by engaging with Penti-M Engineering Australia

The all new $60 million aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility officially opened Wednesday, 1st November 2023 at Rockhampton Airport, allowing 120 highly skilled aviation jobs to come back home to Australia, as well as supporting 16 new, traineeships and apprenticeships.

The new precinct means Alliance can service their fleet of 70 aircraft right here in Rockhampton, instead of their current maintenance contracts in Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

The three-bay hangar is capable of housing three Embraer E190 or Boeing 737 aircrafts and is the most modern facility in Australia.

Alliance Airlines called upon the expertise of Penti-M Engineering Australia to provide high quality, local manufacturing solutions for the hangar fit-out.

The Penti-M team provided custom and tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of the Rockhampton hangar which included, aluminium work platforms, steel work benches and racking systems, specialised tooling and stainless steel benches and hatches.

This gearbox failed on-site and caused a million dollar mining truck to go down! Thankfully the customer brought the parts straight to Penti-M to get the repairs and modifications underway and get the truck operating again ⚙️🔧

These nozzles are made from Inconel 600 material which is a non-magnetic, nickel based super alloy. It has excellent strength, heat and corrosion resistance and it presents many difficulties when machining to strict tolerances and surface finish.

WE SOLVE PROBLEMS!

Penti-M Engineering Australia have successfully completed another batch of special nozzles for our client.

The nozzles are manufactured from Heat Resistant Super Alloy material, Inconnel 600, which presents many machining complications, especially with the extremely long internal bore and back face.

The OEM products were failing and other engineering shops couldn't produce a finished product that met the customers strict standards. Penti-M solves problems, and have proudly produced another batch, of world-class products, ready to be put into service!

⚙️KEEPING OUR CUSTOMERS MOVING!💵

The team have just completed another wormwheel and rotating quick hitch overhaul for one of our local earthmoving clients!

These ‘nickel-aluminium bronze’ #wormwheels are manufactured in-house from specially cast materials from an Australian foundry.

Not only are these parts made locally which means we can deliver them quicker, they are better than OEM, last longer and cost less than the original parts from Europe!

All machining, fitting and crack testing of the quick hitch assembly is completed in our conventional machine shop which means we can get the customers equipment back to work as quickly as possible, with no delays!

Our team members, Wayne Keleher and Alexander Tibbles had the privilege of attending the OFFICIAL UNVEILING & MEDIA EVENT at Kerr Park, Emu Park yesterday.

The event included all stakeholders involved in the project including the @livingstoneshirecouncil , community groups, sponsors, and the design and manufacturing team of Bill and Luke Gannon, GJK Contractors and Penti-M Engineering Australia.

The emu’s are just a small part of a multi stage project at Emu Park focused on creating a beautifully designed enjoyment area for the family and kids, as well as placemaking and promoting our region within the tourism industry.

The manufacturing process was very in-depth and intricate but so rewarding to see the final product. It also increased the manufacturing and engineering capabilities in the region, so it’s a win-win situation all round with more complex manufacturing now able to be produced locally!

We are very proud to be apart of this project and encourage everyone to travel to Emu Park to witness the world craftsmanship and enjoy the laid back and beautiful coastline that the region has to offer!
