For the last three years during major overhaul and efficiency upgrading works on the 350MW Hitachi Steam Turbines at Stanwell Power Station (via Rockhampton) we have engaged the services of Penti-M Engineering (formerly Keleher Engineering) to provide machining and mechanical fitting work. The following major work was performed by Penti-M Engineering,
- High Pressure and Intermediate Pressure Turbine Diaphragm Radial Fin replacement.
- Diaphragm and Shaft Packing Ring machining.
- Main Steam Stop Valves Bushing replacement.
- Main Steam Control valve Bushing replacement.
- Miscellaneous turbine component precision machining and grinding.
The service we have received from Wayne and his staff has been excellent and the quality of work performed continues to meet our high expectations. Due to the short durations of the overhaul/shutdown work the turnaround time and responsiveness of Penti-M Engineering is crucial to the success of our overhaul contract and we are pleased to have the support and assistance of Penti-M Engineering in achieving our goals.
We plan on continuing to use Penti-M Engineering's services wherever possible on future overhaul work.
